I am SO excited! I auditioned for this musical on Monday and just found out today that I got cast. I'll be playing Ethel, Ren's mom (the dancing teen), I am so thrilled! Musical Theater is truly my first love but I have been so involved in classical training over the last six years that I have not had much time to audition for shows. I am trying to decide what I want to do after I graduate and after seeing The Light in the Piazza on Saturday it became clear to me that I need to spend some more time auditioning for musical theater shows so that I can figure out which way I want to do. Thanks to all of those who have supported and encouraged me as I have tried to figure it out! Hope some of you can come out and see the show! :0)

CONGRATULATIONS!! You are going to be awesome. I'm so glad that you DID try out. And not to knock the whole opera thing, but... I really like musicals where people get to hear you sing, and talk because then, you get to see your personality more. Anyway, I love ya! Good luck, and HEY, your going to get PAID TOO. Thats the best part!

Congrats Kim!!! You'll be absolutely amazing and your voice sounds lovely regardless of what you're singing! I'm sure it's come a long way over the last bit too. We still doing your grad recital together? :) Love ya!
